As an Expert Data Science within Novartis Digital Finance, you will build innovative analytics and AI solutions that help transform planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision-making across a global organization. Working at the intersection of Finance, data science, machine learning, and emerging AI technologies, you will turn complex data into meaningful insights, develop scalable solutions with measurable business impact, and help drive the next generation of intelligent Finance capabilities. Job Description
- Design and deploy data science and artificial intelligence solutions that enhance finance planning and decision-making.
- Develop predictive, prescriptive, and machine learning models that generate actionable business insights.
- Transform complex business challenges into scalable analytics products, models, dashboards, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities and drive solution adoption.
- Prepare, validate, and optimize enterprise datasets to support analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence initiatives.
- Implement model monitoring, governance, and Responsible Artificial Intelligence practices across solution lifecycles.
- Contribute to Generative Artificial Intelligence, large language model, retrieval-augmented generation, and Agentic Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or applied artificial intelligence.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, model development, and scalable solution delivery.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, predictive modeling, forecasting, machine learning, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions with measurable business impact.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience applying data science, forecasting, planning, or performance analytics within Finance or similar business functions.
- Exposure to Generative Artificial Intelligence, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, or Agentic Artificial Intelligence frameworks.
