Experienced QA Engineer with Playwright

Our platform re-imagines the way decision-makers discover and interact with trusted research and data, and is foundational to IDC's future. We are seeking an Experienced QA Engineer to take primary responsibility for testing and ensuring the quality of our client-facing applications. Ensuring their reliability, performance, and user experience is vital — any malfunction or quality issue could directly impact customer satisfaction, trust, and our brand reputation. The role will include manual testing and the development of automated regression tests while using AI tools to ensure faster feedback cycles and more stable releases. This person will work closely with developers and product management, ensuring tight alignment between requirements, delivery, and validation.  If this position is not filled, it will significantly impact the customer experience, increase the risk of defects reaching production, and reduce the productivity of our development teams due to slower release cycles and lack of dedicated QA support for critical applications.

What You’ll Do

• Daily manual testing of mentioned tools
• Plan regression testing and perform it
• Write UI automation tests (Java/Selenide, Typescript/Playwright)
• Manage test cases in Zephyr
• Summarize and document found bugs in JIRA
• Validate research data and provide feedback to the research team
• Communication with PM and business to clarify requirements and changes

What You Bring

Must Have

• 3+ years of experience in software testing
• Experience in manual and automated testing
• Experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Selenide, Playwright)
• Knowledge of programming languages for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript)
• Knowledge of database querying (SQL)
• Willingness to experiment and incorporate AI tools into daily work to increase quality and efficiency

 Nice to Have

• Familiarity with API testing, performance, security testing
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
