Requirements and responsibilities
What you'll do:
You will become a part of our Data Science and Data Engineering team that is responsible for developing the data transformations with data pipelines as well as ingress and egress integrations from or to our Data Warehouse and Stagecoach Integration Platform.
We do all of this using state of the art open source and cloud technologies that allow us to build scalable solutions that are capable of handling millions of data points every day.
You will be crafting data transformation workflows together with your colleagues under the guidance of your tech lead and data architect, thinking about how we can extract additional value out of the multiple data sources. It will be a game of puzzle that transform at first sight incoherent pieces of information into a valuable outcome.
AWS, Apache Airflow and Python will become your bread and butter for building the majority of our ETL workflows. Outcomes of your work will have a direct impact on how thousands of bus drivers transport hundreds of millions of people every year.
Key skillsets:
- AWS (cloud provider of choice).
- Redshift DB (fully managed, scalable data warehouse service in the cloud).
- SQL (to be able to interact with the data and tables and such).
- Apache Airflow, more specifically Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA).
- Python (programming language of choice, used for every programming need).
- ETL pipeline methodologies and creation.
- Kanban (with some release trains overlap).
- English - Upper intermediate (B2)
