As an Experienced Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and commercialization of next-generation HVAC compressor technologies. You will provide technical leadership in the evaluation, maturation, testing, and implementation of new designs intended to improve efficiency, reliability, manufacturability, and customer value.

You will work across the entire New Product Development lifecycle, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and global teams to bring innovative compressor technologies from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering efforts supporting development of advanced HVAC compressor platforms.
  • Plan, execute, and interpret development and validation testing.
  • Evaluate product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost tradeoffs.
  • Analyze engineering data and provide technical recommendations to support product decisions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support prototype and production builds.
  • Provide technical guidance across cross-functional product development teams.
  • Develop and improve engineering analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Apply Lean principles and risk mitigation strategies throughout the product development process.
  • Support product commercialization and production readiness activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical system design.
  • Experience managing multiple technical priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to independently analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in New Product Development.
  • Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, pumps, motors, or rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanics, materials, machine design, or tribology.
  • Experience in product validation, engineering testing, and reliability improvement.
  • Experience working with manufacturing and production teams.
  • Familiarity with phase-gate development processes.
  • Experience implementing Lean principles in engineering organizations.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
