Who is your future team?
You will be part of the hardware development team in Linköping which consists of experienced engineers in electronics, mechanics and embedded software. We work together across the disciplines in projects to create world-class products. At Axis the project members are the driving force and the decision makers in alignment with the stakeholders. Our team was established in 2023, and you will be given the possibility to influence both product development and team building.

Has the user in focus when developing products.
In addition, you have worked for at least 5 years in a relevant field and have a university degree in computer science or a similar relevant area.
What you’ll do as an Experienced Embedded Software Engineer:
As an experienced embedded software engineer in our team, you collaborate and communicate a lot with other engineers within Axis, both in Linköping and on other sites to deliver products. Your main objective will be to build functional, scalable and high-quality software solutions in a common code base.
Our software responsibilities span all the way from hardware via drivers, system services, API:s to web-based interfaces, with the main work being:
Developing software in C or C++ for embedded Linux systems.
Developing software in C for MCU (for example Bare-Metal or using FreeRTOS).
Using Git, Gerrit and GitHub for revision handling and review.
Writing unit and system test cases.
In addition to the experience within the above-mentioned areas, the following would be meriting:
Experience of roles with responsibilities such as, code ownership, system design, work planning.
Experience working with Yocto and embedded Linux systems.
Experience of programming languages Rust, Python, Shell and Typescript
