Job Description

The Role:

Are you a seasoned Azure Cloud Architect with a passion for leadership, pre-sales excellence, and financial acumen? Devoteam Belgium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Azure Solution Cloud Architect & Team Manager to join our Microsoft Cloud growing team. In this pivotal role, you'll be the technical authority on Azure solutions, driving pre-sales engagements, leading a team of talented cloud engineers, and managing the financial aspects of your consultancy team.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership & Architecture:
  • Design and implement complex Azure cloud solutions that meet client business requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Azure services, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments and provide expert guidance on cloud migration and optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards in Azure environments.
• Team Management & Mentorship:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Azure cloud engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Manage team workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Perform people management tasks, including but not limited to, hiring, on boarding, performance review, and conflict resolution.
• Pre-Sales & Client Engagement:
  • Act as a technical lead in pre-sales activities, including solution presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and develop tailored Azure solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and technical support.
  • Conduct proof of concepts and workshops.
• Financial Management:
  • Manage the financial aspects of your consultancy team, including budget planning, resource allocation, and project profitability.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Contribute to the development of accurate project estimations and proposals.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure advancements and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and drive innovation in cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Architect, with a strong track record of designing and implementing complex cloud solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to:
  • Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security Center, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in people management and team leadership.
• Experience in financial management within a consultancy environment.
• Proven experience in pre-sales activities and client engagement.
• Required: One or more of the following Microsoft Azure certifications:
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), combined with significant architecting experience.
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), combined with significant architecting experience.
  • Or other Azure Expert level certifications, combined with significant architecting experience.
• Fluent in English and either French or Dutch, or both.
