What you will do
The Experienced Bookkeeper will be responsible for a range of tasks to help their business services team deliver timely service to internal and external stakeholders. The core focus is to process balance sheet reconciliations in bank accounts, AP, AR, payrolls, etc.
- Processing Accounts Payable tasks including data entry and reconciliations
- Processing Accounts Receivable tasks including invoices and reconciliations
- Entering and processing a variety of payroll transactions (wages, super, etc.)
- IAS/BAS preparation and lodgment
- Review and tidy of client data files in preparation for annual tax compliance
- Transition of client files to a variety of cloud accounting software packages as required
- Provision of cloud accounting software package training to clients as required
- Responding to client bookkeeping and cloud accounting software queries
- Processing bank reconciliations
- Assisting in the Month End process
- Performance client billing activities as required
- Provide general accounts administration support
What we are looking for
The role will suit an experienced Bookkeeper who is looking for the next step in their professional career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
- At least 4 years’ experience as an offshore bookkeeper/accountant with an Australian company or accounting firm
- Experience in Xero (preferred), MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP
- Experience in AU Payroll, bank reconciliation, BAS/IAS preparation
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- A positive attitude, proactive and committed to the role
