Supports assurance engagements for banking and specialty finance clients within RSM’s Lending team. RSM is looking for a Assurance Associate to join our Lending team. Lending is focused specifically on banking and specialty finance, in which we are the middle market leaders throughout the country.


Job Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities as outlined in the job summary include executing core functions of the Associate role, contributing to team objectives, maintaining quality standards, and supporting client service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited University completed by start date.
  • CPA educational requirements for licensure in state of residence completed by start date.
  • Strong academic performance; minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications or equivalent software tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means.
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in accordance with performance expectations, firm, and client standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and, as required by the role, at client sites, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours during peak periods or as necessary to meet client, project, or firm business needs.
  • Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours including the ability to regularly report to a firm office location and travel to client sites as required, including access to reliable transportation.
  • Occasionally lift or move miscellaneous items (typically under 20 lbs.)

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $99,600
