THE ROLE 

Our experience design team, a combination of product, interaction, and service design, tackles innovative products, new UX for emerging tech, holistic systems thinking, visual design systems, and more.  The team integrates high-level strategy with on-the-ground discovery to bring bold and uniquely human moments to every project. The XD team collaborates closely with all design disciplines in the studio (Industrial Design, Strategy and Product Engineering) in a one of a kind, cross-functional environment.  We are looking for a designer with a playful and empathetic take on design. As a lead designer you will bring your expertise in creating cutting-edge interactions, experiences and service schemes, delightfully bridging the physical and digital. i

WHO YOU ARE 

You have a passion for emerging technologies, new interaction styles, creative research strategies, digital product vision and perfection in visual design - from high-level conceptual work to pixel-level detail. 

 
You possess the ability to provide structure, strategy and "feel" for user interface on the next generation of innovation with good taste and understanding of client's brand and strategy. 

You create and refine high-level concepts into actionable ideas and conceive new interactions and product features. 

You exhibit a strong grasp on wireframing with clear usability and flows and be able to iterate to final full fidelity visual design. 

You are a master of communicating (verbal & written) and can effectively promote NDD's unique perspective and approach. 

You can produce presentations that align to brand standards for conferences, meetings, and new business development. 

You have the capacity to manage project timelines and resources and lead project teams through all steps from strategy to concept to detailed design. 

You have 4-8 years of relevant experience in project and team leadership. 

LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS 

COMMUNICATION LEADERSHIP (verbal and written). You exhibit professionalism and expertise when negotiating details with clients and vendors, as well as when challenging designers to create new experiences. You demonstrate the ability to avoid conflict, recognize the right context for discussion, and foster positive agreements. 

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP and creativity in developing experience design solutions. You demonstrate a deep understanding of the digital business landscape -particularly the distinction between relations and transactional models – and their relevancy to client work. You create innovative cross-channel (XO) interaction models and consistently demonstrate strong visual design skills, including expertise in layout, color, typography, and UI elements.  

PRESENTATION LEADERSHIP.  You plan, manage and contribute to the development of the presentation, demonstrating showmanship, confidence, control, and expertise. 

PROJECT LEADERSHIP. You can contribute written
statements of work (SOWs) and briefs and take a hands-on role in coordination research and creative efforts. This includes planning, setting, and maintaining schedules, as well as knowing when to seek approvals or confirmations throughout the process. You effortlessly manage third-party resources by setting budgets, defining scope of work, implementing controls, and obtaining quotes.
