Your future position
The Accounts payable team is looking for an Expense Specialist to manage and process employee expense claims in accordance with Kpler’s company policies and relevant tax regulations. This role ensures timely and accurate reimbursement, maintains expense documentation, and supports continuous improvement of the expense management process. As part of this role, you will be reporting to the AP Team Lead and partnering with many different stakeholders across all Kpler entities.
Your mission is to:
- Review, verify, and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Audit receipts and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure timely reimbursement of employee expenses and maintain expense-related records.
- Resolve discrepancies or disputes related to expenses with employees and managers.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper expense categorisation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare periodic reports and analyses on travel and expense spending.
- Assist in the development and implementation of expense policy enhancements and automation tools.
- Stay updated with local tax laws and best practices related to employee expenses.
- Act as a backup/support on the Accounts Payable side during absences or peak periods.
It will be a match if you are or have:
- Fluent in English.
- Ideally 1-3 Years' of experience in an Accounts Payable/Expenses Management position.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with expense management or AP software (e.g., Netsuite, Expensify).
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Knowledge of financial controls and basic accounting principles.
