As an Expeditor, you’ll coordinate and schedule commercial shipments of engines and components, ensuring on-time transportation to support production and customer commitments. You’ll work closely with internal teams and transportation providers to track shipments, resolve delays, and keep materials moving safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate and schedule commercial shipments, ensuring on-time transportation to support production and customer commitments.
- Monitor daily production and shipping schedules to identify transportation needs, prioritize urgent shipments, and proactively address potential delays.
- Coordinate with Production, Operations, Customer Service, Materials, Logistics, and transportation providers to ensure seamless movement of engines and components.
- Track shipments from pickup through delivery and provide timely status updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve transportation issues, delays, shortages, and routing challenges to support on-time delivery.
- Review and maintain accurate shipment information, including engine model/serial numbers, destinations, schedules, and required documentation.
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, transfers, and special transportation requirements with carriers and logistics partners.
- Utilize ERP, transportation, and reporting systems to monitor shipments, identify outstanding requirements, and maintain data accuracy.
- Ensure engines and materials are properly staged, handled, and transported in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Adapt to changing production priorities while managing multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of the job.
- Complete training as required.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating freight shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, or vendors.
- Experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted for approximately 25% of the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, MRO, manufacturing, or other regulated environments.
