Expedition & Logistics Specialist

Job Description:

Transports materials for delivery orders to customer sites as needed. Responsible for enforcement of transportation agreements & services, export controls and containment of domestic and int'l freight expenses. Maintains trade compliance and performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned logistic area. Maintains compliance with ISO 9000, IATA, OSHA, DOT, FAA, and FDA Guidelines. Performs customer service function by coordinating and interacting with internal and external customers to resolve shipping issues. May specialize in shipment of dangerous/hazardous goods.

Job Requirements:

• Receipt, issue of HV within ORACLE. Printing packing lists and obtaining all necessary documentation for shipped shipments (invoices, packing lists, certificates, etc.) • Recording and archiving transfers/issues • In the absence of the warehouse manager, issuing the relevant transport documents and ensuring transport. • Customs issues (preparation of documents for the purpose of ensuring customs clearance, communication with the contractual customs agent • Handling complaints and their registration • Maintaining order and work safety in the workplace. Immediately notifies his/her superior of any possible defects. Does not allow the presence of unauthorized persons in the workplace. • Active cooperation with the warehouse manager, suggestions for improving and rationalizing work in the workplace • Fulfilling operational tasks as assigned by the superior. • Fulfilling operational tasks resulting from the performance of the function.
