The Vehicle Processing Centers (VPC) operate in a manufacturing setting and are responsible for processing new Toyota/Lexus vehicles and preparing them for delivery to dealerships located in the Southeast. The Logistics Expeditor will be responsible the carriers held file units in the load lines, and other daily load lines responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the logistics team and the daily tasks in the load lines while promoting safety, morale, and quality
- Locate and identify exceptions in the load lines
- Perform minor Brush Touch Up (BTU) and New Car Warranty (NCW) tasks
- Identify and locate vehicles that need to be placed into processing, including marketing show cars and out-of-region vehicles
- Manage any units coming back to the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) to get accessories installed
- Maintain load line space and parking spots
- Perform miscellaneous duties as needed
- Shuttle drivers when needed
- Lead, train, and assist drivers
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, work flexible hours & all overtime as required
- Excellent attendance/work record required & capable of working independently with minimum supervision required
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (including handwriting skills)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude required
- Must be able to consistently and effectively interact & communicate with all levels of associates, vendors, and business partners—professional phone skills required
- Must be flexible, highly self-motivated, and able to work as a team player
- Familiarity with yard layout and vehicle movement is preferred
- Knowledge of different models, colors and accessories preferred
- Must be able to understand specific vehicle inquiries in computer and computer reports
- PC Skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be able to effectively learn and use electronic and computerized equipment such as handheld scanners, printers, etc
- Good administrative and organizational skills required
- Excellent driving record required
