The Expediter position plays a key role in supporting the Vehicle Processing Center by managing priority units, ensuring timely vehicle processing, and assisting with logistics and operational needs. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a keen ability to analyze data and think critically to solve complex problems.
Responsibilities:

Identify, locate, and mark/sticker units to assist with prioritizing into production based on several factors including age, specific shops, priority, and hot requests from the Area office. Utilize critical thinking to assess and adjust priorities as needed.

Address and resolve issues for vehicles, such as label changes and unresolved processing requirements, by analyzing data and identifying patterns or trends that may indicate underlying problems.

Manage requests for accessory changes (additions or deletions) and use data analytics to track and report on these changes.

Utilize the Vehicle Aging Reports, Brio's, and AS400 to identify and expedite the oldest units for timely processing, ensuring a first-in, first-out approach. Apply data analysis techniques to optimize processing efficiency.

Place and remove holds on units as needed, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.

Collaborate with various shops and departments to resolve Production Tag issues and system problems, leveraging data analytics to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Act as a liaison for dealership requests, using critical thinking to address and resolve inquiries efficiently.

Support quarterly SOX audits through inventory yard scans and additional yard scans as needed, employing data analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Support various shops with resolving vehicle readiness issues and ensuring content accuracy, using data analytics to monitor and improve processes.
Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficient in data entry and reporting systems, including eWork Order, mainframe, AS400, and Brio tools. Experience with data analytics tools and techniques is highly desirable.

Ability to learn and operate electronic systems such as handheld scanners and printers.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude, with a focus on critical thinking and data-driven decision-making.

Familiarity with vehicle accessories, yard layouts, and unit movement processes preferred.

Growth-minded with a willingness to challenge the status quo and a desire for continuous improvement.

Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data analytics software (Power Bi & Brio).

Flexibility to work in various weather conditions, adjust to fluctuating workloads, and work overtime, Saturdays as needed and Sundays once every quarter for inventory audits.

Previous experience in logistics, yard movement/organization, or automotive processing strongly preferred.

Excellent attendance/work record required & capable of working independently with minimum supervision required

Excellent driving record required.
Work Environment:

Requires regular outdoor work in variable weather conditions.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting items.

Interaction with cross-functional teams, including dealership contacts, logistics personnel, shop associates, Toyota Logistics Services, and Lexus Southern Area.
