The Vehicle Processing Centers (VPC) operate in a manufacturing setting and are responsible for processing new Toyota/Lexus vehicles and preparing them for delivery to dealerships located in the Southeast.

The Expediter coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts and assemblies within and outside the department. Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying priority units from reports and marking them with priority stickers.

  • Managing and addressing issues such as mis-staging, label changes, and accessory payments.

  • Handling the VDCR Report to manage accessories being added or deleted from units.

  • Overseeing the Vehicle Aging Report to ensure timely processing of the oldest units.

  • Placing holds on units without RO from the Paint Shop or NCW.

  • Assisting other shops with work order issues.

  • Assisting Contact Distribution with dealership requests.

  • Coordinating dealer pickups at the facility.

  • Conducting inventory yard scans twice a year and as needed.

  • Managing logistics requests, including finding vehicles, removing holds, and reshipping units.

  • Collecting data/VINs from various units and printing work orders.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in all types of weather, work flexible hours & all overtime as required

  • Excellent attendance/work record required & capable of working independently with minimum supervision required

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (including handwriting skills)

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude required

  • Must be able to consistently and effectively interact & communicate with all levels of associates, vendors, and business partners—professional phone skills required

  • Must be flexible, highly self-motivated, and able to work as a team player

  • Familiarity with yard layout and vehicle movement is preferred

  • Knowledge of different models, colors and accessories preferred

  • Must be able to understand specific vehicle inquiries in computer and computer reports

  • PC Skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must be able to effectively learn and use electronic and computerized equipment such as handheld scanners, printers, etc

  • Good administrative and organizational skills required

  • Excellent driving record required
