JOB ACCONUTABILITIES
- Support the Sales team by sourcing competitive LCL, Air Import and multimodal freight rates through the DMP platform, Principle network and service providers.
- Monitor customer payments and collections, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate reconciliation.
- Coordinate with Sea/Air Freight Operations to ensure accurate and timely release of Delivery Orders (DOs) and booking confirmations.
- Follow up with carriers and agents on import and export bookings and update the relevant systems on time.
- Monitor import and export shipments closely and keep customers updated on shipment status to avoid delays.
- Work closely with Sales to ensure all shipment information is accurate and provided on time, including information required for clearance and transport services.
- Coordinate with principals, agents, carriers and relevant authorities to ensure smooth delivery of import and export shipments.
- Prepare regular reports for management and Principals to monitor KPIs and overall performance.
- Share shipment details with Finance on time for invoicing and job costing and follow up to ensure invoices are sent to customers within agreed timelines.
- Maintain good working relationships with other departments by following agreed service standards and procedures.
- Carry out any other duties related to the role as assigned by management.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Bachelor’s Degree approved by UGC or Equivalent professional qualification with minimum 1 year experience OR
6 passes with 'C' for Maths and English at the GCE O/Levels or London O/Levels AND
A minimum of 2 passes at the GCE A/Levels OR
Successful completion of UGC approved A/L equivalent foundation course with minimum of 4 years’ experience.
Sound knowledge of freight forwarding operations (Import/Export – Air & Sea) and basic Incoterms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
Extensive knowledge of MS Office Package.
Industry related experience and knowledge of regulations (Customs/BOI/SLSI/SLPA)

Skills Required
