Position Summary and Objective
Global Guardian has an immediate opening for a talented and motivated Team Leader. This leader is responsible for the daily functioning of a five-person security team, with a range of security projects for a large corporation in the San Jose, CA area. This security team provides facility security, executive protection and event security for a corporate office including C-suite personnel.
This Team Leader will determine the technological, administrative, manpower and material support needed to ensure the delivery of best-in-class security services that Global Guardian is known for. The ideal candidate will manage and lead employees, develop and maintain strong relationships with the client and their customers. Most of the work being done will be in the designated region, with the possibility of both domestic and international travel.
The position will be based in the San Jose Area of California and will report to the Global Guardian West Coast Manager and Director of Domestic Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide for the welfare, physical protection, and security of a high-profile client by performing armed executive protection assignments
- Ensure a high level of performance from the protective team members through training, communication, accountability, and leadership
- Communicate directly with the client and representatives as needed to address issues, scheduling, events, and concerns
- Create, modify, and manage the protective SOPs and protocols
- Collaborate with client corporate security and Global Guardian intelligence teams for executive protection threat assessments and known risks, persons of interest investigations, behavioral threat assessments and threat response management
- Establish and maintain processes to manage project/mission quality and performance standards, assess and manage risks within, and across, multiple missions.
- Respond to emergencies and perform first responder/first aid operations, as needed
- Generate Quarterly Reports that provide an overview of service performance, areas of success, areas for improvement, and overall risks for the next quarter
- Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner
- Complete suspicious activity reports, incident reports, shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirements as directed
- Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have private security management experience. (Required)
- Operational knowledge of California security licensing and requirements. (Preferred)
- Have current BSIS guard card, BSIS Exposed Weapons Card and either LEOSA or CA CCW permit. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university. (Preferred).
- 5 or more years of related management and leadership in the security industry, law enforcement or military. (Required)
- Must live within 1 hour of the City of San Jose, CA (Required)
- Experience in formulating and managing budgets.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office products.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record. (Required)
Salary Range $150,000 - $155,000

- Local Domestic travel
- 24/7 availability to the client while on a task
