JOB PURPOSE
To take responsibility for the performance and efficiency of the department in meeting the production target and requirement.
Operation
- Responsible for all departmental activities to be carried out in the most efficient, orderly manner, and the staff are continuously trained to achieve the most cost-efficient operation.
- Assign, instruct, supervise, and coordinate the workforce of the production department.
- Emphasize the workforce the importance of good housekeeping and material recovery.
- Discuss with the Maintenance Department to ensure all program shutdown for optimum allocation and effectively utilized; be it production works or maintenance works.
- To ensure all process control equipment is regularly updated to keep up with advancement.
- Prepare paper proposals, presentations, and related documentation for management review and approval.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate good understanding of company policies and assist in ensuring departmental compliance.
- Assist in basic procurement-related tasks such as preparing purchase requests, quotations comparison, and follow-up with vendors or internal departments.
Quality
- To liaise closely with the Quality Department on product analysis and ensure good quality as specified.
- Compliance with Quality Management System (QMS).
Safety and Environment
- To maintain good safety and operating standards to identify unsafe conditions and practices that could result in potential injury and to take prompt effective corrective actions.
Communication
To keep departmental staff well informed of current developments in the company and maintain good discipline and cooperation among staff.
