Who You Are
- 10+ years of video production experience at a digital media company5+ years of experience managing producers
- Track record of developing and launching original series, from concept to publishing
- Deep understanding of all major digital video platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat
- Familiarity with Complex’s content, understanding of the brand’s voice and tone, and a strong working knowledge of hip-hop-focused youth culture
- Strong writing, communication, and deck-making skills
- Experience using YouTube Studio and other platforms to track and analyze performance data
What You'll Do
- Develop the vision and creative strategy of Complex video across platforms
- Manage and mentor a team of video producersOversee the production of all original Complex video series, including longform and shortform
- Manage Complex’s video publishing calendar and establish a clear flow of information about video timelines and priorities across the company
- Ensure that all videos published by Complex adhere to the highest creative standards
- Collaborate with the production management, talent, and post-production teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Track and analyze video performance in order to develop goals and make data-driven strategy improvements
- Collaborate with VP of Video Development and company leadership on new series development
- Serve as point person for brainstorms and approvals on video-related branded content, sponsorship, and commerce campaigns
- Represent video strategy and performance in conversations with company leadership and external partners
