Our Mission

At Vertical Aerospace, we are pioneering the way for electric aviation. The Valo, our eVTOL (electric, vertical, take-off and landing), 'zero emissions' aircraft will set a new safety standard for how we will navigate the sky.

We won't realise our mission following the same legacy processes and traditions our predecessors followed, instead, we want to 'redefine' aerospace best practices. We are growing quickly from a prototype business to a scaling SME, and the next few years will be critical to our success and delivering on our ambitious goals. Valo is targeting airliner-level safety certification in 2029 ahead of entering service with our airline and operator customers.

Not every role designs the aircraft. Some help the people shaping the future of flight stay focused, organised and ready for what comes next.

We’re looking for a proactive, adaptable and curious Team Coordinator to join Vertical Aerospace. You’ll work alongside our EAs and PAs, providing flexible support to senior leaders, the wider executive support network and our Bristol office. You’ll also help coordinate selected company meetings, visits and events.

This is a varied, shared-support role rather than a traditional one-to-one PA position. You’ll balance priorities across several people and teams, making sure meetings happen, travel is organised, rooms are ready and practical details don’t get in the way of progress.

This is an early-career opportunity, and you do not need to have previously worked as a PA or EA. What matters is that you can demonstrate experience of working in a fast-paced environment, adapting when plans change and taking responsibility for getting things done. That experience could come from administration, events, hospitality, retail, operations or work experience.

What you’ll do
  • Coordinate meetings involving several company stakeholders.

  • Find suitable meeting times and send, update or move invitations as priorities change.

  • Book meeting rooms, lunches, transport, accommodation and business travel.

  • Help manage and process expenses accurately and on time.

  • Make sure rooms, documents, refreshments and practical arrangements are ready for meetings.

  • Help organise shared information, agendas and business documents.

  • Research hotels, restaurants, venues and travel options for company and commercial events.

  • Support activity in our Bristol office and act as a helpful point of contact for colleagues and visitors.

  • Help coordinate external visits, VIP activity and selected internal events.

  • Respond calmly when plans change or urgent requests come in.

  • Spot what needs doing, take sensible action and ask for help when you need it.

  • Get involved in practical tasks that help the team and office run smoothly.

The role provides shared support across several people and teams rather than full diary ownership for one executive. Priorities will move, so you’ll need to be comfortable changing focus and supporting wherever the need is greatest.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working in a busy or fast-paced environment.

  • Takes initiative and enjoys making things happen.

  • Can organise several tasks without losing sight of the details.

  • Can decide what needs attention first when requests compete.

  • Thinks practically and anticipates what people might need.

  • Remains calm and adaptable when plans change.

  • Communicates clearly, openly and confidently with different people.

  • Is collaborative, low ego and happy to support the wider team.

  • Is comfortable combining desk-based administration with practical, hands-on tasks.

  • Is willing to ask questions, learn quickly and get involved.

  • Can work with appropriate independence while knowing when to seek support.

  • Is comfortable working from our Bristol office as this is an office-based role.

You may be early in your career, but you should be able to give examples of when you have taken ownership, solved a practical problem, managed competing priorities or supported others under pressure.

It’s a bonus if you have
  • Around a year’s experience in administration, team support, events, operations or a similar environment.

  • Previous experience as a Team Assistant, PA or office coordinator.

  • Experience organising meetings, events, travel, a society, club or sports team.

  • Experience supporting several people or stakeholders at the same time.

  • An interest in using digital and AI-enabled tools to work more effectively.

We care about your approach and potential, not whether you have followed one particular career path. Direct PA or EA experience is helpful, but it is not essential. We’re more interested in whether you can handle the pace, build positive working relationships and become someone the team can rely on.
