The Corporate Communications team within the Executive Office of Goldman Sachs seeks to promote and protect the firm's culture, brand and reputation. The Media Relations, Associate role is part of the Corporate Communications team, helping to develop and implement a range of media strategies and communications tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help develop and execute proactive media engagement programs across our Global Banking and Markets business, Global Investment Research teams and executive office functions, such as technology, operations and finance
- Lead the development of written materials including press releases, talking points, briefings and statements
- Collaborate with other Executive Office functions to handle corporate issues for the firm in a holistic manner
- Maintain and develop relationships with reporters at target publications
- Contribute to media monitoring, analysis and reporting processes to provide timely updates and insights to senior leadership
- Understand issues at the intersection of business, technology, economics and public policy
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
- 4-8 years of experience in media relations at a financial services-related institution such as an investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, government organization, a financial technology company or a public relations firm with related clients
- Experience speaking directly with reporters
- Ability to conduct in-depth research and develop strategic solutions to complex problems
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to effectively manage your time, work across projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic media environment
- Understands the importance of timely delivery and tracking of news
- Enthusiastic – high energy, team-oriented with a well-organized “can do” approach
- Skilled writer and editor with outstanding attention to detail; experience crafting and editing high-quality strategic communications for internal (C-Suite) and external audiences.
- Basic proficiency in using Co-Pilot and other AI chatbots to improve project workflow. Experience with Smartsheet, Sharepoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, as well as media monitoring tools such as Muckrack, Signal AI, Factiva or related platforms.
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
