PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Media Relations & Management
• Plan, coordinate and execute media events such as press conferences, media workshops, and media briefings, ensuring seamless logistics and effective communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the pitching, planning and coordination of media interviews, including organising media training for spokespersons and preparing concise yet impactful talking points to effectively convey key messages.
• Build, maintain and leverage strategic relationships with media professionals to secure favourable coverage on essential issues related to the Bank.
• Draft initial responses to media queries in a timely manner and monitor their coverage.
2. Communications Advisory for Clients’ Department
• Assist in the development of content, strategic messaging and campaign directions, aligning with the Bank’s objectives to enhance public understanding of its policies and initiatives.
• Plan and execute media (e.g. print, electronic, digital media, etc.) and creative campaigns, including media buys, to maximise visibility and engagement.
3. Campaign/Project Manager
• Assist in the planning and execution of communication campaign or event
• Support the end-to-end management of key events and initiatives such as GDP Press Conferences, Annual Report engagement sessions, and the Sasana Symposium.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of campaign materials and activities.
• Track project timelines, logistics, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution and success.
4. Surveillance
• Conduct continuous surveillance of all relevant media sources for current and emerging economic, financial, political and social issues.
• Flag potential implications to the Bank’s policy mandate or reputation and escalate relevant findings to senior team members for further action.
5. Provide support in the development and execution of the department’s business plan, by supporting strategic initiatives, tracking progress, and assisting in reporting activities. Possess the ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple high-priority deliverables simultaneously, including planning and execution of the Bank’s flagship events and other key departmental initiatives, while ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
6. Proactive in helping colleagues in order to improve productivity and sustain a conducive work environment.
Qualifications
• Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or other related discipline
• Experience: At least 1-3 years working experience in communications/journalism/public relations/marketing/advertising
