Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Management: Lead and coordinate the full proposal lifecycle for strategic bids, from bid planning with technical team members, coordination with other internal teams to quality assurance and timely submission.
  • Quality Control: Review and edit technical and financial proposals to ensure donor compliance, clarity, and strategic positioning.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Work closely with SI leadership on resource allocation for proposals. Supervise a small team
  • of junior resources supporting proposal writing, providing guidance, feedback, and skill development.
  • Content Development: Support drafting of EOIs, capability statements, and CVs ; refine with inputs from technical teams for coherence and impact.
  • Strategic Support: Work with SI leadership on business development initiatives – donor and partner scoping, training and capacity building of SI team members and technical teams on proposal writing and budgeting.
  • Process Improvements: Ideate and implement tools and frameworks to improve the quality of proposals, timely submissions and proposal development process.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain and enhance the proposal content library, CV database, and standard templates for efficient proposal turnaround.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Engage with Finance, HR, and Operations for budgeting, compliance documentation, and team composition inputs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track proposal submissions, conversion ratios, and lessons learned for continuous process improvement


Requirements
    Profile Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in English, Business Management or equivalent fields.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in business development, proposal writing, or donor engagement within a consulting or development organization.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Proven experience in preparing bids and ensuring compliance for international donors
  • (World Bank, ADB, FCDO, USAID, GiZ, DFAT, etc.).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and quality control skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word and power point. Dexterity and strong capabilities using Microsoft excel and other MS-Office supported databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and language (English) skills.
  • Proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Powerpoint and Advanced in MS-Excel.
  • Experience in proposal writing, donor and partner scoping and landscape assessment.
  • Identifying and profiling current and potential donors in the preferred geography.
  • Summarize findings and share it with the larger MSC team.
  • Willingness to work in a demanding, and results oriented team environment where priorities can change frequently.
  • Ability to work in a deadline- bound environment and beyond regular working hours, as and when required.
  • Ability to update data fields, synthesize data, and conduct rigorous data analytics.
  • Must have led a team and can plan and allocate tasks with a strong understanding of task complexity, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members are fully utilized. Collaborates to balance workloads and achieve shared goals.
  • Good team player, ability to work with a global team and self-starter willing to take
  • initiative.
  • Ability to effectively present to internal teams to deliver training or external teams to
  • provide company overview and capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively and ideas in written and spoken format.
  • Solid knowledge of the English language and capacity to write concise and articulate
  • business emails with little to no supervision.


Skills Required
