Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The position exists to ensure the accuracy and integrity of operational and inventory cost data within the Oracle system.
By tracking variances and maintaining precise Bills of Materials (BOM), the role provides the essential financial foundation required for accurate product pricing and margin protection.
Ultimately, it serves to flag operational inefficiencies and support the finance team in driving bottom-line profitability.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Execute month-end closing procedures, including extracting financial reports from Oracle, preparing reporting, and posting required journal entries.
Reconcile monthly sales and inventory ledgers, etc. to ensure data integrity and compile final closing packages for Global Reporting requests.
Compile and analyze weekly and monthly operational expenses and open work orders to ensure all expenditures align with departmental budgets.
Maintain standard product costs and intercompany pricing in Oracle by updating Bills of Materials (BOM) and labor/overhead routing structures (WD).
Analyze manufacturing variances (material usage, price, and labor efficiency) to identify operational overspending and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
Evaluate intercompany pricing to identify and correct over- or under-maintained rates across entities.
Coordinate and execute monthly cycle counts and year-end physical stock-takes, reconciling physical counts against Oracle ledger balances.
Analyze slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB) and provide detailed risk reports to stakeholders for provisioning or disposal action.
Compile and consolidate monthly Procurement and Productivity Savings (ELS) data into centralized tracking dashboards.
Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to investigate costing anomalies and drive supply chain data accuracy.
Support the annual budgeting and weekly/ monthly forecasting,
Support the internal and external audit data requests.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
1- 3 years’ experience in Product Costing role. Fresh graduates with related education background are welcome to apply.
Preferable candidates with Oracle module knowledge.
Working experience in a manufacturing company will be an added advantage.
Able to work under a tight schedule, extra hours during the financial closing period.
Good in MS Office skills (is. Excels, Words, Power Point).
Good in English written and spoken. Chinese is an added advantage.
Oracle experience is an added advantage.
Activity based costing knowledge preferred; strong skills in data analysis.
Effective problem solving, detail-oriented and analytical.
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Self-Initiative and motivated, is adaptive and able to work with ambiguity and changes.
