The Executive, Finance Operations is responsible for executing day-to-day transactional and operational finance activities accurately and on a timely basis, while ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and service level commitments. The role supports Accounts Payable (AP), Travel & Expense (T&E), Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Lease Accounting, Bank Reconciliation, Oracle master data maintenance and Finance Query Management. The incumbent is expected to handle operational processing, reconciliations, exception follow-up, stakeholder queries, master data updates, documentation and continuous improvement support within a shared services environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Finance Operations Management

  • Execute assigned Finance Operations activities accurately, efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all processes are executed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor operational performance, productivity, service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Support issue resolution, escalation follow-up and preparation of operational updates as required.

2. Accounts Payable (AP) – End-to-End

  • Perform AP activities, including invoice receipt, validation, processing, payment support and vendor account maintenance.
  • Perform Oracle master data maintenance activities, including creation, updates, validation and periodic review of supplier, employee or finance-related master data in accordance with approved controls.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and supplier payments.
  • Assist with payment runs and manage processing exceptions in line with approved controls.
  • Monitor AP aging, blocked invoices and overdue payments.
  • Partner with Procurement and Business Units to resolve invoice matching and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, procurement and financial control requirements.

3. Travel & Expense (T&E)

  • Process expense claims and employee reimbursement activities in accordance with corporate travel and expense policies.
  • Review claims for completeness, policy compliance and supporting documentation, escalating exceptions where required.
  • Manage corporate credit card administration and reconciliations.
  • Monitor expense claim turnaround times and policy exception rates.
  • Drive employee awareness and policy adherence.

4. Intercompany Accounting

  • Perform monthly and quarterly intercompany reconciliation and settlement support activities.
  • Ensure timely confirmation and resolution of intercompany mismatches.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to clear aged intercompany balances and resolve open items.
  • Support intercompany agreement governance and transfer pricing requirements.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and elimination support during close activities.

5. Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Process asset capitalization, transfers, disposals and depreciation-related activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensure integrity and completeness of fixed asset registers.
  • Coordinate periodic asset verification exercises.
  • Support capital expenditure governance and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

6. Lease Accounting

  • Perform lease accounting activities in accordance with IFRS 16 / MFRS 16 requirements and approved process guidelines.
  • Maintain lease schedules and accounting records.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of lease data.
  • Review lease modifications and reassessments.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements.

7. Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned bank accounts.
  • Match bank statement transactions against general ledger records.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation differences and outstanding items promptly.
  • Follow up with internal stakeholders and banks to clear unreconciled transactions.
  • Ensure reconciliation activities comply with established SOPs and internal controls.

·       100% bank accounts reconciled on time

·       No material unreconciled differences

·       Timely reporting and reconciliations


8. Controls, Risk & Compliance

  • Maintain strong internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support SOX/internal control testing where applicable.

9. Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Support automation, standardization and process simplification initiatives.
  • Leverage ERP systems, workflow tools and digital solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support migration, transitions and process transformation projects as assigned.

10. Team Support & Knowledge Sharing

  • Support team members through knowledge sharing, cross-training and timely operational handovers.
  • Support a collaborative, service-oriented and customer-focused team culture.
  • Contribute to process documentation, SOP updates and capability building across finance operations processes.
  • Support cross-training, knowledge sharing and capability building across finance operations processes.
  • Support workload planning by providing timely status updates and highlighting processing priorities or risks.

Minimum Job Requirement


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

Key Skills & Experience:


Experience

  • Experience in finance operations, transactional finance processes and service delivery within a shared services or high-volume operations environment, with 1–3 years of relevant finance operations experience.
  • Experience handling AP, T&E, reconciliations, intercompany, fixed asset or lease accounting activities, with exposure to stakeholder query resolution and operational follow-up.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, Coupa, Workday, OneStream or equivalent

Skills Required
