Executive – Fabric Technologist

We are looking for an active team player to source / develop materials according to the customer requirements, mitigate risk in a timely manner whilst functioning within the standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify trims / fabrics that require sourcing / development, confirm availability in accordance with the internal specifications,
Set sourcing strategy
Share technical and price details (costing price/MOQ/MCQ/ETC) on newly developed or newly sourced items
Develop new fabric and trims
Align the supplier according to customer manual
Price MOQ/MCQ/lead time and surcharge value negotiation.
Confirm that the relevant raw materials are sourced for the production process in line with all processes and procedures at MAS in a timely manner in order to facilitate, accurate completion of customer order.
Ensure the technical package contains approved master hangers/samples along with the technical specs signed off by customer & supplier, hand over complete technical package to the bulk team in a timely manner, assist with conditional approvals where needed and rectify garment constructional constraints due to material.
Involve in the development of Lab dip, strike off and trims and communicate the required information with the customers and the internal teams along with necessary approvals.
Conduct and monitor necessary testing procedures prior to the bulk production and involve in commercial decisions whilst communicating necessary information with the relevant stakeholders along with bulk approvals whilst involving in Risk analysis which will enhance the quality of the end – products.
Knowledge and Skills:
A degree in applied science or Physical Science or a diploma in textile and sourcing technology.
3 - 5 years' experience in a relevant field.
