Position Summary:

A skilled leader and accomplished marketer with a proven track record of success is needed to lead the US brand launch and commercialization for admilparant across its IPF and PPF indications, one of BMS’s most significant near-term launches and the foundational assert in a new therapeutic area for BMS. This is a highly visible, key commercial leadership role that requires exceptional strategic judgment, marketing excellence and performance-driven, cross-functional leadership. This leader will be responsible for launch preparation, commercialization planning and execution of admilparant, and ultimately brand performance upon launch.  This position will report to the Vice President, US Brand Lead, admilparant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead US go-to-market (GTM) strategic & tactical plan for admilparant IPF and PPF indications – ensuring strategic choices aligned to BMS Marketing and Launch Excellence frameworks, in close partnership with matrix partners

  • Support GTM Commercialization Model development and deployment for launch, ensuring best-in-class field execution, aligned to brand and launch strategy

  • Build the HCP marketing team for the admilparant launch, attracting, retaining and developing top talent

  • Partner closely with global commercial team on key launch strategy deliverables (positioning, messaging, brand campaign, etc) providing US perspective to ensure seamless global to local transition to execution

  • Partner closely with Sales, Medical, Access, Launch Excellence, Field Strategy & Operations, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, and Global Commercial teams to align on strategic priorities, key decisions, and executional milestones, serving as the HCP marketing lead within the US matrix.

  • Manage HCP operating expense decisions to ensure proper resource utilization across A&P spend and operating expense management

  • Establish KOL and HCP relationships in ILD and build internal/external credibility by demonstrating deep customer understanding, scientific agility and commercial acumen, helping to stand up pulmonology as a new therapeutic area for BMS

  • Lead AOR relationship, including strong agency integration across functions, ensuring high-quality, high-impact work and strong budget management through coaching, reconciliation and quarterly AOR/brand planning meetings

  • In collaboration with Market Access organization, develop and implement comprehensive access strategy plan, consistent with brand strategy and inclusive of payer access and patient services model

  • Support top-line forecasting and projection workstream in partnership with CASA team

  • Partner with CASA team to optimize Marketing Mix and channel selection, integrating new commercial model capabilities

  • Lead matrix team to communicate launch strategy, launch readiness and performance update presentations to Senior Leadership Teams

  • Provide US commercial input to optimize US Prescribing Information

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical brand marketing or relevant biopharmaceutical experience required

  • Prior launch experience required; prior pulmonology or rare disease experience a plus

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and developing direct reports and leading high-performing teams

  • Strong leadership skills to lead the overall strategic planning and execution of key deliverables across the matrix

  • Proven track record of effectively driving performance within a matrix organization with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and executive collaboration required

  • Prior Health Care Practitioner marketing experience with demonstrated expertise in customer focus, insight mining, message development and marketing analytics

  • Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships

  • Experience with multi-channel marketing execution is preferred

  • Ability to rapidly adapt and execute plans in fast paced environment

  • Demonstrate the capacity to grow, develop and learn from experiences

  • BA/BS required

  • Willing to travel up to 25%

Compensation Overview:

$239,080 - $289,708

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)

  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown. 

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
