As an Executive Director in the Tax Transfer Pricing team, you will help set and execute the firm’s global transfer pricing strategy and governance. You will translate policy into practical methodologies, guide implementation and monitoring, and strengthen documentation that supports intercompany arrangements. You will partner with regional tax teams, finance, business leaders, and external advisors to manage risk and respond effectively to audits and inquiries. You will report to the Global Head of Transfer Pricing and be based in New York / New Jersey.
Job responsibilities- Lead the design and ongoing management of transfer pricing policy, including periodic reviews and updates.
- Translate policy into clear, executable methodologies and support implementation and monitoring across the organization.
- Advise business and finance partners on transfer pricing matters and practical execution considerations.
- Support transfer pricing audits, inquiries, and disputes globally, coordinating with internal partners and external advisors.
- Identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements aligned with global standards and business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with regional and local tax teams and key stakeholders across geographies.
- Prepare and review audit defense files and transfer pricing documentation to strengthen governance and controls.
- Ensure robust support for intercompany arrangements and transfer pricing positions, including consistency of documentation.
- Integrate lessons learned from controversies into policy and documentation practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop training materials and host forums to share best practices, relevant legal developments, and audit trends.
- 15+ years of relevant transfer pricing experience.
- Deep technical knowledge of transfer pricing principles and OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, including application to financial institutions.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing transfer pricing policies and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience supporting transfer pricing audits, inquiries, and disputes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly to non-specialists.
- Law degree or accounting degree (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Advanced qualification such as Master of Laws (LLM), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience in a multinational financial institution or a large professional services firm (accounting, consulting, or law).
- Experience developing global governance frameworks and documentation standards for intercompany arrangements.
