About the Role:
Condé Nast seeks an Executive Director of Product Management for Engagement. In this role, you will lead the effort to advance and improve the digital value proposition of our brand web sites and apps. You will be the primary liaison between the Technology organization and our array of premium titles. including The New Yorker, Vogue. Bon Appetit, Vanity Fair, Epicurious, Conde Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, Allure, and GQ.
You will be creating great experiences, worthy of visiting again and again and even paying for. Key focus areas include: AI-enabled discovery, bringing large tentpoles to life on our stack, games, UGC, community and apps. All of this work supports an accelerated focus toward improving and transforming our owned and operated destinations. This increased focus on the customer is essential as we face industry-wide headwinds and market shifts.
You will be collaborating with colleagues across the world, working with stakeholders in our US, UK and India HQs as well as within our 10 other markets. We strongly emphasize cross-functional collaboration across timezones, partnering directly with our functional pillars in Technology Engagement, Customer Data, ConsumerRevenue and Commercial Revenue. This will require close partnership with Publishing, Revenue, and Customer Data. You will be managing product folks in UK, NYC and Bangalore.
This role reports to the SVP of Product and Design.
Responsibilities:

Own the Engagement roadmap. This includes ownership of the biannual OKR and roadmap process, as well as ownership of the long-range strategic plan. You will effectively represent the Engagement plans and goals to both technology and cross-functional leadership.

Lead Verticals helmed by Directors including: Community & Utility & Epicurious App; Discovery and The New Yorker App and the and Vogue, including the new Vogue app.

Articulate and tirelessly drive key results around known user engagement including time spent, known user time spent, repeat visitation and overall user retention.

Manage brand management for global brands and enable features to support a plug-and-play architecture with minimal core customization.

With design and technology, you will create new and improve existing capabilities aimed at driving deeper engagement with our audiences.

Partner closely with the publishing platforms teams to develop new storytelling capabilities and digital experiences. Working with editors, designers and developers on improving the functionality of our core content types (articles, galleries, reviews, recipes)

Collaborate with members throughout the company (key being Editorial, Audience, Strategy/Partnerships, Consumer, and Commercial) to identify areas of need and solutions that solve these challenges.

About You/ Essential Skills:

Requires a minimum of 7-10 years experience managing product experiences for consumer brands (ideally in the media industry)

You are able to work with research and data teams to better understand the customer, identify growth opportunities, and build a case for prioritization.

Experience partnering with third party agencies and contractors to accelerate our roadmap and augment resourcing, as needed.

Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Experience working in a matrixed organization, juggling requests from multiple stakeholders.

Experience with OKRs or SmartGoals, that articulate global goals tied to corporate KPIS. Ability to turn these into team OKRs that you will relentlessly drive with your teams.

Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks and improving deployment pipeline efficiency is essential.

A track record of building, maintaining and managing strong relationships within an international business and across many different stakeholder groups.

Experience managing product managers in India, the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe with a proven ability to communicate effectively across languages and cultures.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $225k - $265k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
