Position Overview

Intuitive Health is seeking a dynamic Executive Director of Operations to lead a network of high-volume emergency and urgent care centers in the Southwest region. This role is accountable for multi-site operational performance across a complex, 24/7 clinical environment, leader development, and delivery of regional financial and performance priorities.

This leader will own and drive continuous improvement across the region and serve as a key operational partner to health system stakeholder(s), ensuring alignment on performance goals, patient experience, quality outcomes, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership, Partner Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Own regional operational performance and continuous improvement across multiple high-volume emergency and urgent care locations.
  • Own regional P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor optimization, and expense management.
  • Drive site-level performance in volume, access, patient experience, quality, and financial metrics; ensure results are sustained through clear cadence and accountability.
  • Own the regional performance improvement roadmap-identify performance gaps, prioritize initiatives, and lead execution to improve.
  • Establish and maintain operating rhythms (dashboards, reviews, site visits, leader routines) that ensure consistent execution and rapid issue resolution across sites.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards, payer requirements, and quality benchmarks.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison to the health system partner(s), building strong relationships and ensuring alignment on goals, standards, and operational expectations.
  • Partner closely with medical leadership to align operational performance with clinical quality, patient safety, and provider engagement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with corporate support teams (finance, HR, revenue cycle, marketing) to deliver operational targets and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to executive leadership, including performance reporting, trend analysis, and action plans.

Team Development & Culture

  • Directly lead and mentor a team of Program Directors and site-level operational leaders.
  • Build and sustain a high performing, engaged culture with clear expectations, consistent coaching, and strong follow-through.
  • Support local leaders in recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and development.
  • Foster collaboration across operational, clinical, and shared-service teams to ensure seamless site performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s (MBA, MHA) preferred.
  • Experience in emergency services, urgent care, or high-acuity ambulatory environments strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, including multi-site oversight.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable operational improvement in a high-volume, KPI-driven environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership and disciplined labor/expense management.
  • Strong relationship-builder with ability to influence at all levels-from frontline to executive leadership, including external stakeholders/partners.
  • Experience in partnership-based, matrixed, or multi-stakeholder environments strongly preferred.
