Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an Executive Director, Marketplace who is responsible for leading the strategy, execution and global growth of the Toshiba Commerce Marketplace—a centralized platform that supports integrated hardware, software, and services. The Marketplace expands Toshiba’s portfolio by enabling internal and partner solutions to be delivered in a scalable, governed, and value-driven manner.
This role has full P&L accountability, executive visibility, and cross-functional influence, which is key in shaping Toshiba’s long-term platform, ecosystem, and revenue strategy. This role ensures that the Marketplace evolves into a core digital engine that drives growth, innovation, and ecosystem value creation across Toshiba’s business units.
A core focus of this role is to enable the Marketplace to enhance and support the enablement and extensibility of ELERA solutions, including the exposure and management of microservices, APIs, SDKs, and certified integrations. The Executive Director ensures that the Marketplace remains aligned with platform strategy, partner needs, and client outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Marketplace Strategy & Execution
- Define and evolve the multi-year strategic roadmap for the Marketplace in alignment with corporate growth objectives.
- Identify and evaluate strategic partners to engage with the Marketplace
- Negotiate terms as well as onboard and manage partners within the Marketplace
- Lead Marketplace operations, tooling, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure processes support scalable publishing, deployment, and lifecycle management of offerings.
- Own the Marketplace P&L and drive revenue growth, market adoption, and ecosystem value realization.
Ecosystem Development & Tooling
- Build and manage tools such as CPQ, partner onboarding workflows, pricing models, and listing validation.
- Coordinate with Product, Innovation, and Development to align Marketplace offerings with platform capabilities and client needs.
- Define and maintain partner engagement structures, including tiering, certification, and support.
- Collaborate with Marketing to manage Marketplace programs, communications, website, and other outbound marketing.
- Develop global strategic alliances with key technology providers, system integrators, and enterprise clients.
Solution Enablement & Platform Alignment
- Oversee the enablement of ELERA microservices and related integration assets for Marketplace partners.
- Manage documentation, release workflows, and support tooling for internal and external solution contributors.
- Ensure readiness of Marketplace solutions for deployment and scaling across customer environments.
- Drive co-innovation programs with partners to expand Marketplace content and solution coverage.
Operational Oversight & Measurement
- Define, track and report KPIs for Marketplace performance, partner engagement, and content adoption.
- Establish quality, compliance, and governance procedures.
- Monitor content lifecycle, usability, and support effectiveness in collaboration with stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in product management, partner ecosystems, or marketplace leadership within a technology organization.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, APIs, SDKs, CPQ systems, and cloud-native tools.
- Understanding platform extensibility and ecosystem operations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, IoT, or edge computing in enterprise or retail environments is a plus.
- Strong cross-functional leadership in matrixed organizations.
- Operational mindset with focus on tooling, enablement, and governance.
