This role is part of the integrated, global in-house legal team at NCR Voyix. You will be responsible for providing legal support across the LATAM region, covering a broad range of legal matters and advising on diverse business operations, including sales, field services, HR, procurement, disputes/litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, M&A, and other strategic initiatives.

You will bring a deep understanding of commercial and technology law in key LATAM jurisdictions, including software licensing, cloud and SaaS agreements, services contracts, intellectual property, and data protection regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

         Serve as a legal advisor to management, sales, and other business units throughout the LATAM region

         Review tenders and manage all aspects of contract formation in compliance with NCR Voyix policies and local legal requirements

         Draft, review, and negotiate complex IT agreements, including SaaS, licensing, services, outsourcing, and subscription-based deals

         Provide timely, practical, and business-focused legal guidance on a wide range of matters

         Advise on dispute and litigation matters (commercial and employment) across the region

         Support M&A activity, divestitures, entity restructuring, and day-to-day corporate governance of regional legal entities

         Provide counsel on labor and employment issues, competition law, compliance, and regulatory matters, including data privacy

         Contribute to global legal department initiatives, including template development, knowledge sharing, and special projects

         Interpret and analyze laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure business compliance and recommend changes as needed

         Deliver internal legal training to business stakeholders

         Coordinate with and manage outside counsel as necessary

 

Qualifications & Experience:

               Fully qualified lawyer in a LATAM jurisdiction (e.g. Chile, Argentina, etc.)

               Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with significant time spent advising on technology transactions—preferably for multinational companies or within the IT/SaaS sector

               Experience working in or advising U.S.-based multinational corporations

               Familiarity with cross-border legal issues and managing multiple jurisdictions within the LATAM region

               Strong business acumen and the ability to align legal strategies with organizational goals

               Hands-on, proactive approach and comfort managing a broad workload in a dynamic environment

               Proven experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams

               Experience managing or mentoring a small team of in-house legal counsel is a plus

               Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

               Willingness to travel occasionally as required
