Executive Director – Hemangeol, Sales and Marketing

Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals is headquartered in Secaucus, NJ alongside Pierre Fabre USA Inc., a Pierre Fabre Laboratories subsidiary focused on dermatology skincare and haircare.
SUMMARY:
This role will develop and implement the commercial strategy to propose and deliver on Hemangeol’s financial targets, including enhanced market competitiveness, revenue and profitability growth. Hemangeol is a late lifecycle innovative brand indicated for the treatment of proliferating infantile hemangioma. It is available in an oral formulation and approximately 5000 infants are treated annually in the US.
This role will have direct responsibility for sales and marketing and will work closely with Value and Access and Patient Affairs on contracting, distribution and patient access strategies. This role will develop a close relationship with Medical Affairs to ensure effective collaboration on deliverables such as KOL advocacy, medical congresses, advisory boards, disease education/awareness initiatives, LCM strategies, guideline strategies, etc. This role involves leading and inspiring high-performing teams, building cross-functional cooperation, and adapting job functions as needed to meet the brand’s financial goals and the company’s talent objectives. This role maintains a high degree of external focus with significant customer and field team engagement.
This role requires deep experience in rare diseases and in managing mature products.
ED, Hemangeol will participate in portfolio strategy and commercial evaluation of business development opportunities as necessary. The role will report to VP, Head of Commercial and BD.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exercises sound judgement and adheres to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies
- Address key insights and proactively identify customer needs
- Lead the commercial planning process and cross functional team to develop annual brand plan and financial targets ; ensure excellence in execution and consistency across functions
- Translate brand strategy into a high impact tactical plan by defining the optimal marketing mix of channels with corresponding key performance indicators
- Develop and deliver periodic, cross-functional business reviews that present a fact-based, data-driven state of the business and thoughtful recommendations
- Evaluate brand performance against budget, including regular rolling forecast updates.
- Formulate LOE strategy to maximize profitability
- Coordinate with Global teams on PI updates and other LCM initiatives
- Drive the sales function by creating national business plans to achieve annual demand goals, including targeting and pull through initiatives
- Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets
- Oversee sales incentive programs within compliance guidelines
- Lead a high-performing sales team through engagement, development, retention and performance management.
- Foster a positive team culture
REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution/university (Health Sciences-related strongly preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive industry experience, ideally in multiple functional areas such as sales, marketing, business development
- 10+ years of experience in Rare Disease pharmaceutical market
- Robust LOE experience
- Motivational leadership style
- Proficiency with executive level communications
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- In depth understanding of US healthcare regulatory and enforcement environment
- Demonstrated passion for improving patient care
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This role is based in Secaucus, NJ, with the ability to work remotely 2 days per week.
- Extensive domestic travel up to 60%
- Occasional international travel, less than 10%
LOCATION: US – based, Hybrid 2x days expected in office (HQ - Secaucus, NJ)
