About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Public Finance Director -- Not-for-Profit Healthcare to join our Municipal Products Group (MPG). The Municipal Products Group (MPG) provides investment banking, municipal derivatives, investor solutions, institutional sales, secondary trading and underwriting services to issuer and investor clients.
In this role, you will:
- Serve in a lead banker coverage capacity for major not-for-profit healthcare issuers nationwide
- Coordinate coverage efforts and effectively partner with regionally focused teams within Public Finance and Relationship Managers in Commercial Banking
- Develop new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and create customized solutions for complex situations
- Originate and execute finance transactions as the managing underwriter in the municipal securities sector, which can include derivatives or advisory assignments
- Develop and maintain significant depth and tenure of relationships with not-for-profit healthcare issuers
- Be recognized as an acknowledged expert in their field and be able to build upon a network of influence among municipal market professionals including chief financial officers, bond lawyers, credit providers, financial advisors, rating agencies, and key industry vendors (such as public accounting firms)
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with teammates, within the framework of the strategic alliance, to accomplish annual and long-term business objectives
- Represent MPG within the company, and externally in support of specific municipal finance business
- 7+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 7+ years direct public finance work experience, particularly municipal derivatives and strategic advisory experience
- Demonstrated account relationship management, business development, and sales experience with not-for-profit healthcare issuers specifically
- Ability to understand local nuances and help position Wells Fargo Public Finance with large municipal issuers nationwide
- Consistent track record of revenue generation with municipal issuers
- Established trusted advisor to top-tier hospitals and hospital systems throughout the country
- Existing and positive relationships with not-for-profit healthcare issuers nationwide and market professionals across the municipal securities industry
- Consistent track record of revenue generation with not-for-profit healthcare clients
- Demonstrated relationship management, business development, and sales experience with not-for-profit healthcare issuers specifically
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other industry tools
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and a deep understanding of the public finance industry
- A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, or related field
- Registration for FINRA Series 52 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
