Job Summary
As an Executive Director - Global Banking Platform - Business Architect within JPMorgan Chase, you will play a pivotal role in the development of a modernized Global Banking Platform. This platform is aimed at fostering rapid innovation to cater to the evolving needs of our customers, both presently and in the future. Your role will necessitate close collaboration with the Business, Operations, and Technology departments. Although this initiative will be spearheaded by the Consumer & Community Bank, which manages $9 trillion, it will require coordination across all business lines, including the Corporate & Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, and Asset & Wealth Management, and will ultimately influence all these sectors.
Job Responsibilities

  • Business Architect for the Global Banking Platform to work with Product Owner, Technology, Design and Data leads to determine how to build core banking capabilities in a strategic and reusable way. Envision requirements, partnering closely with Product owners and engineering teams from solutioning through implementation for the new features/capabilities. Maintain a strong focus on \"building the right thing in the right way\" to enable high quality solutions that meet customers' needs. As a Functional and Technical SME on platform capabilities, collaborate across different APG teams in Global Banking Platform to build and deliver new platform features. Recommend business priorities and advise partners on options and risks of various solutions. Represent Stakeholders and be available to scrum teams to answer/clarify requirement and able to make decisions.
  • Also importantly, this will be the senior role in India for Global Banking Platform Product. Serve as a matrix manager to all GBP Product staff in Hyderabad and have input on performance reviews, hiring, etc. for a team of 7-10. Build and manage relationships with senior leaders in Tech, Product, Data and Design


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 10+ year experience working in engineering, technology, innovation, business strategy, analytics, new product development
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree preferably in technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of JIRA to do product planning and write epics
  • Ability to skillfully negotiate and define new functionality to build a reusable platform
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to work well in cross-functional teams and ability to partner across various disciplines and levels of technical knowledge
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior executives


Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
  • AWS certification is a plus
  • Expert in Leading Technical Delivery teams and
  • Enterprise Products expertise in microservice architecture and cloud-native technologies (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Domain knowledge in Core Banking (ex: Deposits, Credit Card, Lending)
