EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – CORPORATE SUPPLY CHAIN OVERSIGHT

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role Is to develop, oversee and implement supply chain policies and procedures in alignment with Organisational goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices.  This will be achieved through the provision of sound, ethical leadership and oversight on all aspects of the supply chain function, including strategic sourcing, contract management, vendor selection, and procurement operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     Develop and implement centralized procurement policies aligned with Organisational goals to enhance revenue generation and economic growth.

     Ensure enforcement and compliance with procurement regulations, fostering fairness, transparency, and adherence to legal requirements across all procurement functions.

     Implement efficient centralized procurement plans and strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimize costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

     Drive the integration of technology in centralized procurement processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness throughout the procurement lifecycle.

     Develop and implement risk management plans and strategies tailored to centralized procurement activities, identifying, and mitigating potential risks to procurement operations.

     Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring systems to continuously assess the effectiveness and efficiency of centralized procurement processes, ensuring alignment with Organisational strategic goals.

     Oversee quality management and control processes across all procurement functions to ensure the delivery of high-quality goods and services in compliance with established standards.

     Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the procurement of goods and services.

     Implement strategies for financial management and cost optimization within centralized procurement activities, maximizing value and minimizing expenses.

     Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement function, identifying and implementing opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and value creation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

     A Master's Degree in either Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or CIPS Level Six/CPM/CPIM, or equivalent. Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (ISM) – CPSM or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) – CPCM is mandatory.

     At least 10 years relevant work experience in procurement or procurement oversight environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a management capacity.
