Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

  • HARMONi: Phase 3 clinical study which was intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to placebo plus chemotherapy in patients with EGFR-mutated, locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who were previously treated with a 3rd generation EGFR TKI.

  • HARMONi-3: Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to pembrolizumab combined with chemotherapy in patients with first-line metastatic NSCLC.

  • HARMONi-7: Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab monotherapy compared to pembrolizumab monotherapy in patients with first-line metastatic NSCLC.

Colorectal Cancer (CRC)

  • HARMONi-GI3: Phase 3 clinical study intended to evaluate ivonescimab in combination with chemotherapy compared with bevacizumab plus chemotherapy.

Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy not presently approved by any regulatory authority other than China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Summit is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and has additional offices in California, New Jersey, the UK, and Ireland.

Overview of Role:

The Executive Director Commercial Operations will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our commercial strategies and ensuring operational excellence. You will lead a team responsible for various aspects of commercial operations including sales operations, marketing operations, digital operations, and field sales training. This role will report into the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).


Role and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with senior leadership develop and execute commercial strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Strategically build roadmap and execute on fundamental commercial operations capabilities including sales operations, marketing operations, business information commercial, sales training, and digital operations.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans for the commercial operations team.
  • Create and oversee integrated launch project plans facilitate cross-functional meetings and monitor progress.
  • Provide insights to optimize sales performance and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the collection analysis and interpretation of sales data to inform decision-making processes. This includes overseeing the evolution of organizational dashboards for all commercial functions and internal customer levels.
  • Work across the commercial team to evaluate and manage the commercial data needs, ecosystem of platforms, and evolving commercial data strategy.
  • Develop and execute strategies for sales operations territory alignments, targeting, call plans, and digital targeting/personas.
  • Develop core Sales Operations functions, Incentive compensation, rewards & recognition, field training on analytics concepts and tools, fleet, etc.
  • Develop and oversee digital operations to ensure core platforms and processes support the marketing team’s digital strategy, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Drupal, Claravine, GA360, and related tools.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Strategy to ensure the appropriate digital measurement framework is in place and bidirectional data is flowing with key partners to support 360-degree customer data and views, enabling next best action opportunities, and cost-effective deployment of digital assets
  • Establish frameworks that enable advanced analytics, accurate outputs, and effective use of AI tools and best practices across the commercial team.
  • Oversee Marketing operations including MLR reviews promotional materials and campaign execution, digital operations support, speaker bureaus platform evolution and management, etc.
  • Partner with the Head of Communications & Events and other key stakeholders on commercial national meetings, POA logistics, contract negotiations, and event management.
  • Manage and develop commercial operations budget for all areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the productivity and efficiency of the sales force.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards in distribution processes.
  • Partner with IT on Data Management
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience across multiple departments within commercial operations within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with a track record of success in strategic planning and execution
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in oncology is required
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical sales processes market dynamics and regulatory environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

This is the pay for this position

Pay Transparency
$245,000$300,000 USD

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
