About The Position:

As an Executive Director, Account Management on the D/Cipher team, you will play a key leadership role in the growth and overall success of our managed service team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution standards for the Account Management team to ensure the successful execution of programmatic advertising campaigns from start to finish with exceptional client service. You will work closely with our Sales, Trading, Research and Analytics, Ad Product, and Sales Strategy teams to drive client success and business growth.

This position is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office with the ability to work 2 days remotely.

About The Team:

D/Cipher is People Inc.'s proprietary advertising solution that powers precise, privacy-centric audience targeting across premium publisher environments. The D/Cipher Account Management team is responsible for ensuring successful execution of D/Cipher programmatic campaigns and collaborating with internal teams to drive client success and business growth.

About The Position’s Contributions: 

  • Team Leadership & Development (25%) 

  • Architect the organizational structure for the Account Management team, clearly defining roles and responsibilities and overseeing hiring, training & onboarding for new team members.

  • Develop and maintain internal playbooks and best practices to drive operational excellence and consistent execution across the organization

  • Serve as a primary point of escalation for client or campaign management questions from the team.

  • Determine and monitor account ownership amongst the Account Management team.

  • Drive team member development through regular 1:1s, reviews, and career growth conversations.

  • Establish and oversee a learning curriculum and professional development program to ensure the team is building knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, D/Cipher product capabilities, and industry best practices.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to provide clients with innovative solutions.

Campaign Management and Analysis (50%) 

  • Support the team in managing client relationships, serving as a senior point of contact for high-touch accounts and providing strategic guidance to address and resolve any client concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Oversee the Account Management team's collaboration with the Trading team to ensure accurate setup, timely delivery, and optimal performance of campaigns.

  • Lead the monitoring and analysis of campaign performance, guiding the team in generating actionable insights, recommendations and post-campaign analyses.

  • Grow the Account Management team’s programmatic expertise, serving as an internal resource for troubleshooting and optimization questions.

  • Identify opportunities for account growth and work with the Sales team to expand offerings to existing clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (25%) 

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Trading, Research and Analytics, Ad Product and Sales Strategy to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.

  • Serve as a primary resource for the Sales team, regularly communicating team and product updates.

  • Manage communication with the Ad Product team, representing client needs and communicating changes internally.

  • Coordinate with the Measurement team, establishing processes and best practices around brand studies and measurement solutions 

  • Work closely with Revenue Strategy and Finance teams to define and oversee forecasting and billing processes.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years of consultative, client-facing work in programmatic advertising, digital media or related fields, with at least 5+ years in a management role.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and driving large-scale business outcomes.

  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple projects and team responsibilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Eager to learn new systems, technologies, and advertising techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite and Confluence as well as Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with DSP platforms such as TTD, Xandr, AdTheorent a plus.

  • Familiarity with Airtable and Tableau a plus.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $190,000.00 - $200,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
