The Job

The Global Presales Demo team is responsible for creation and maintenance of best in class demonstration packages for AVEVA’s full product portfolio. The team is owning a library of vision setting demonstrations whilst also supporting the regional teams to tailor these demonstrations to customer opportunities as well as empowering the global sales teams with assets that are driven by business value and supported by industry data and customer use cases.  

You will be responsible for owning the enterprise visualization demonstration content. This is used heavily within high visibility customer experience centers around the world, where executive engagements are very common. Based on site in London, this role will involve working alongside key stakeholders to own the content shown in this key location. Alongside this, the expectation will be to also be able to lead conversations with both customers and executives on the content present.

Key responsibilities 

  • Ownership of content shown within the London CEC, working alongside key stakeholders to deliver best in class demonstrations to both customers and executives.
  • Ability to present the value of the AVEVA portfolio to these audiences in the London CEC when required.
  • Utilising an excellent knowledge of AVEVA’s software portfolio to a level that allows you to build, configure, test, document, deploy, maintain, and customize demonstration environments on enterprise visualization and deliver associated demo deliverables – scripts, setup guides and videos.
  • Ability to adapt and learn knew software along with industry processes and best practices to align with new business and demo requirements.
  • Participate in, contribute to and lead multiple concurrent demonstration building efforts, leveraging the global presales community wherever possible.
  • Support and maintain demonstration environments, supporting the wider commercial teams when they reach out for technical demo support.
  • Explore new ways of effectively communicating AVEVA value, internally and externally, and using cutting-edge digital solutions.
  • Review, refine and enhance demonstrations produced by other teams, with the objective of ensuring that everything we produce is templatized, high quality and is focused on our audiences and markets.
  • Operate independently based on high level work descriptions. Prioritizing activities based on schedule and deadlines.

Essential Requirements

  • 10-15 years’ experience in the engineering industry and/or hands on working experience in industrial automation organizations and engineering software is required.
  • Experience in the AVEVA visualization tools.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Background in presenting demonstrations to an executive audience.
  • An understanding of any of AVEVA’s main markets, including Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical and Mining, is preferred. 
  • An ability to operate effectively as a member of a dynamic team within a matrixed organisation, often working across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Should have excellent English communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Excellent application and technology knowledge
  • Integrates seamless in project teams and takes an active expert role
  • Creates concise, clear documentation in support of projects.
  • Fulfills expert role in external or internal project teams
  • Project Management skills
  • Skilled in crafting feedback and delivering enablement and training
  • Expert MS PowerPoint and MS Word skills
  • A flexible attitude and an ability to produce excellent work with minimal guidance
  • Computer Science or Engineering background preferred

Hybrid working

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection. Some positions are fully office-based depending on the nature of the work, and certain roles that support specific customers or markets may be remote. The working arrangement for this position will be confirmed during the hiring process.
