Duties and Tasks:
- Support the University’s mission and core values as a contributing member of the University community.
- Coordinate key projects, events and relationships with partners and alumni
- Assist dean and faculty with ongoing work and strategic projects critical to College objectives
- Coordinate project implementation with internal and external partners
- Lead planning and organize events and communications with internal and external groups
- Notify dean and faculty of potential problems with support needs while offering solutions
- Act as liaison between the dean and faculty
- Act as a contact person for College inquiries.
- Maintain currency and correspondence with community partners.
- Facilitate completion of accreditation and other reports.
- Facilitate completion of College reporting needed to facilitate student success.
- Act as a resource to students to address questions related to programs and program requirements.
- Assist in maintenance of student records.
- Facilitate text review requests and text, material, and supply orders for programs.
- Assist with class scheduling, assignments, operations including supply ordering and annual inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Serve as a resource for faculty and adjuncts.
- Monitor student records for currency and correspond with students, faculty, and agencies regarding student compliance with certifications, trainings, etc.
- Facilitate data entry and analysis related to course and program evaluation.
- Assist with course scheduling and communication with internal and external partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean, and Associate Dean.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
- Associate degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two years administrative experience, preferably in higher education administration.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well with internal and external customers
- Professional demeanor, self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Commitment to maintain strict confidentiality
Abilities:
- Excellent written, oral and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Logistical and organizational skills necessary to complete multiple tasks and plan and organize work activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook and Internet; Colleague a plus
