Summary:
In this role, you will serve as the lead communications partner for Vizient’s Spend Management business unit, providing strategic counsel and developing executive communications that support the Spend Management President, senior leadership team, and priority business initiatives. You will translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling communications that strengthen leadership visibility, engage employees, support client-facing priorities, and connect Spend Management priorities to Vizient’s broader enterprise story.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted communications partner to the Spend Management President and senior leadership team, providing counsel on executive positioning, message development, and audience engagement.
Develop and execute communications strategies that advance Spend Management priorities and align with Vizient’s enterprise narrative and business objectives.
Translate complex business strategies, market dynamics, and leadership priorities into clear, compelling messages for employees, clients, and other priority audiences.
Lead executive communications for the Spend Management President, including speeches, presentations, talking points, employee messages, town halls, video scripts, thought leadership, social content, and other high-visibility communications.
Partner with Spend Management Marketing, public relations, thought leadership, and communications teams to integrate messaging across executive, internal, client-facing, and external channels.
Build subject matter expertise in Spend Management businesses, solutions, competitive landscape, client needs, market trends, and strategic priorities.
Anticipate communications opportunities, audience needs, and reputational considerations, advising leaders on when, where, and how to communicate.
Measure communications effectiveness using data, feedback, and insights to refine messaging, channels, and strategy.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience required.
Demonstrated success translating complex business priorities into clear, credible communications strategies and content.
Strong executive presence and experience counseling senior leaders on message development, positioning, and high-visibility communications.
Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for varied audiences and channels.
Strong judgment and discretion when navigating sensitive, high-priority, or fast-moving business matters.
Ability to quickly build subject matter expertise and understand business strategy, market dynamics, client needs, and organizational priorities.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence others without formal authority.
Familiarity with healthcare industry trends, supply chain, group purchasing organizations, or purchasing dynamics preferred.
Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
