The Role

And now, we’re looking for a new kind of Executive Assistant! Someone who is not just operationally excellent, but creatively driven, strategically minded, and passionate about building something truly extraordinary in this era of digital innovation driven by purpose in the world.

Your Role

This is not your traditional Executive Assistant position. This is a trailblazer role, a critical right hand to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and the digital leadership team across the globe.
In this high-velocity, highly visible role, you’ll help orchestrate a global rhythm of business, enable strategic focus, and act as a force-multiplier for one of the most future-facing roles in the firm. You’ll be embedded within a team of digital innovators working across AI, data-intelligence, creative digital storytelling, mega-projects and next-gen design technology. You are the glue that keeps it all together for us and a true enabler of our future.

This is a role for someone who wants to shape the future, not just schedule it. You’ll be joining a leadership group that’s defining what’s next for Gensler and the industry — with a front-row seat (and often a co-pilot role) in some of our most transformative conversations.

What You Will Do

  • Be the Strategic Anchor – Ensure the CDO is in the right conversations, at the right time, with the right preparation. Own the calendar like a chessboard. Prioritize with precision. Anticipate needs before they’re spoken.

  • Operate at the Speed of Innovation – Juggle priorities across time zones and cultures. Flex between detail and big picture. Adapt instantly. This is a role where fast is not fast enough — you bring clarity through the chaos.

  • Command Global Relationships – Build powerful trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders, industry partners, and global studio teams. You’ll be a connector, a gate-opener, and an incredible influencer.

  • Manage the Business of Innovation – Track vendor contracts, budget allocations, financial reporting, and team resourcing with confidence. You’ll help ensure our strategy is powered by operational excellence.

  • Craft Communications That Inspire – Help prepare world-class presentations, briefing materials, visual storytelling, and executive documents. You should be fluent in PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and collaborative tools like Miro and Teams.

  • Push the Boundaries of the Role – We don’t want ordinary. We want entrepreneurial. You’ll help elevate the entire function of executive support – just like your peers at Gensler - making it more connected, more proactive and very impactful.

Your Qualifications

  • A High-Velocity Operator – You thrive in fast-paced environments with global complexity. You’re two steps ahead and five steps deep — always.

  • Curious and Courageous – You ask bold questions, challenge the status quo, and find better ways forward.

  • Digitally Fluent – You’ve supported leaders in technology-driven roles — CDOs, CTOs, CIOs — and understand how to translate vision into action across a distributed ecosystem.

  • Financially Sharp – You can read a P&L, track quarterly budgets, and speak the language of contracts, procurement, and vendor management.

  • Emotionally Intelligent – You know how to read a room, listen deeply, and lead with empathy and integrity.

  • Design-Savvy – You love great storytelling and understand how to turn ideas into impact through stunning presentations and polished deliverables.

  • Relationship Builder – You forge deep trust with teams, clients, and leadership. People know you as a go-to connector and culture-carrier.

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience supporting C-level executives, ideally in creative, tech, or innovation-led organizations

  • Deep experience with global scheduling, international travel coordination, and cross-cultural communication

  • Strong command of tools: Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Miro, Teams

  • Experience working in environments that blend strategy, design, innovation, and technology

  • Bonus: Experience in design, architecture, entertainment or digital consulting firms

*The compensation range for this role in Los Angeles is estimated to be between $100k-$120k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
