We live in a world where technology is rapidly changing the educational experiences of students and teachers everywhere, and we have the opportunity to shape how this change takes place. Kira's mission is to harness transformative AI technologies to make world-class personalized teaching and learning accessible to everyone. Kira is a rapidly growing startup backed by top-tier Venture Capital funds including New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Andrew Ng’s AI Fund, and Primavera. We’re looking for a highly capable, startup-experienced Executive Assistant to support our CEO and Co-Founder.

At its core, this role is about leverage. You won’t just schedule meetings - you’ll understand what they’re for, how they connect to company goals, and how to sequence them intelligently. You will manage a complex and fast-moving schedule, understand shifting business priorities, and make thoughtful decisions about where time is best spent.

This role requires strong judgment, calm execution under pressure, and a clear understanding of how startups operate. You should be detail-oriented, discreet, and highly organized, with the ability to anticipate needs and prevent problems before they arise.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility with work hours and availability outside of regular business hours. This role is based out of our Tribeca office and we ask that employees come into the office in-person 4 days a week (Wednesdays WFH).

What You'll Do
  • Manage the CEO's complex calendar with a clear understanding of business priorities and competing demands.

  • Sequence meetings strategically to optimize focus, preparation time, and energy.

  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for inbound requests, applying thoughtful judgment to scheduling decisions.

  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring logistics, materials, and preparation are handled in advance.

  • Manage travel arrangements, expenses, and administrative workflows with precision.

  • Maintain visibility into ongoing priorities to ensure alignment between schedule and company objectives.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with board members, investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a senior executive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional calendar management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.

  • Strong business judgment and ability to understand how executive time maps to company priorities.

  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.

  • Professional, clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information.

  • Calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented under pressure.

Success in This Role Looks Like

Within 6–12 months:

  • CEO's schedule is tightly aligned with top company priorities and runs with minimal friction.

  • Meetings are well-sequenced, thoughtfully prepared, and rarely reactive.

  • Inbound requests are handled efficiently with clear communication and good judgment.

  • The leadership team experience you as highly reliable, thoughtful, and proactive.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and equity. Salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000 depending on relevant experience and skill set.

  • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance, including a medical insurance plan with 100% coverage of employee premiums.

  • Flexible PTO policy and company holidays.

  • DoorDash credit for lunch daily.

  • Wellhub Membership: 100% company-paid access to premium gym networks (Orangetheory, SoulCycle), 60+ wellness apps (Headspace, MyFitnessPal, Apple Fitness+), and 1:1 coaching sessions spanning fitness, mental health, nutrition, and sleep.

  • Dog friendly office 🐶.
