Embree Partners is a new global long/short equity investment firm based in New York City and preparing to launch in 2027. We are building the firm from the ground up with a small, experienced team and are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant / Office Manager to join us at an early stage.

This is a broad, high-trust role for someone who is highly organized, proactive and polished, and who enjoys making things run exceptionally well. The position will primarily support our Founder and CIO, while also working closely with our Partner Relations lead and taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of our New York office.

We are looking for candidates with 3–7 years of relevant professional experience. Prior Executive Assistant experience is helpful, but we are also open to candidates from operations, hospitality, luxury, client service or other fast-paced environments who have demonstrated strong judgment, organization and increasing responsibility.

What You'll Do

Executive Support

  • Manage a complex and dynamic calendar for our Founder and CIO, including internal meetings, investor meetings and external commitments
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, logistics and last-minute changes
  • Help manage inbox flow, follow-ups and day-to-day priorities
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts, logistical issues and upcoming needs before they become problems
  • Handle occasional personal scheduling and reservations as needed
  • Manage sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment

Fundraising & Investor Coordination

  • Coordinate investor meetings, conferences, dinners and fundraising travel
  • Work closely with Partner Relations to manage meeting logistics and scheduling
  • Help ensure external meetings are thoughtfully prepared and run smoothly
  • Coordinate with investors, counterparties and other external contacts in a polished and professional manner
  • Assist with select CRM, meeting preparation and follow-up projects as the role evolves

Office Operations

  • Own the day-to-day operation and readiness of our New York office
  • Greet investors and other visitors and ensure a polished experience from arrival through departure
  • Manage vendors, office supplies, conference rooms and general workplace needs
  • Help coordinate our upcoming office move and establish practical administrative systems for the new space
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues independently and identify solutions rather than waiting for direction
  • Use technology and AI tools to improve workflows, organization and administrative efficiency
  • Take on special projects and new responsibilities as the firm grows

Who We're Looking For

There is no single background required for this role. You may already be an excellent Executive Assistant looking for broader ownership, or you may have built your career in operations, hospitality, luxury, client service or another demanding environment where organization, judgment and attention to detail matter.

The strongest candidates will have:

  • 3–7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive mindset and an ability to anticipate what needs to happen next
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professionalism and confidence interacting with senior executives, investors and external partners
  • Excellent judgment and discretion
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and move quickly without sacrificing accuracy
  • A high degree of resourcefulness and comfort solving problems independently
  • Strong technology skills and an interest in using AI and new tools to work more effectively
  • A willingness to take ownership of both important, high-trust responsibilities and the everyday details that keep an office running well
  • Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment where responsibilities will evolve as the organization grows

A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Prior investment management or financial services experience is not required.
