About Ando

Ando is building AI-native workforce infrastructure for the 80M hourly workers in the U.S. and hundreds of millions globally.

Labor is the last broken supply chain. Forecasting, allocation, and professional identity remain fragmented across static tools and manual decision-making. Ando is rebuilding this system from first principles.

We start with highly accurate AI-generated demand forecasts, move to allocation-first labor optimization, and compound value through a persistent labor graph that captures skills, reliability, availability, and performance across time and employers. Over time, this becomes a professional identity layer and intelligent system serving both enterprises and frontline workers.

Ando is a Seed-stage company backed by Slow Ventures and experienced operators. We are live with real customers and entering a phase where architectural clarity, learning loops, and AI systems quality are foundational to long-term success.

The Role

Ando is hiring an Executive Assistant to work directly alongside our Founder & CEO. This is the right-hand seat: a high-trust role for someone who wants to operate close to the center of an early-stage company and grow with it.

The core of the role is keeping the CEO operating at full capacity. You will manage his calendar, coordinate his travel, protect his time, and absorb the work that would otherwise slow him down. It is hands-on work, and doing it exceptionally well is what earns the trust the rest of the role is built on.

What sets this role apart is where it leads. As you establish yourself, you will partner with the leadership team on special projects and take on work in areas such as revenue operations and customer engagement. The right person is glad to handle the day-to-day and equally motivated to own more over time. For someone who wants to define their own path at a fast-growing company, there is considerable room to grow.

You will represent the CEO and the company in nearly everything you do, with the team, with customers, with investors, and beyond. That requires judgment, discretion, and a high degree of emotional intelligence.

What You'll Own From Day One
  • Calendar and scheduling. Own the CEO's calendar end to end. Weigh competing priorities, protect focus time, and keep each day running on schedule.

  • Meeting preparation and briefing. One of the most important parts of the role. Know who he is meeting before each conversation, including the individual, the company, and the relevant context and history, and brief him accordingly. Assemble what he needs going in, capture what matters coming out, and carry the follow-ups through to completion.

  • Protecting the CEO's time. Screen and prioritize what reaches him, prepare him for what is ahead, and ensure nothing important is missed. You will learn to anticipate needs and solve for them before the conflicts arise.

  • Taking work off his plate. Anticipate what is needed, resolve open items, and quietly handle the details that would otherwise accumulate.

  • Travel and logistics. Plan and manage all travel, anticipating the details before they become problems so he can arrive prepared and focused.

  • Personal coordination. This is not a personal-assistant role centered on errands. It does, however, require access to and awareness of the CEO's personal life and calendar so that everything stays aligned, making it one of the highest-trust aspects of the position.

Where This Grows

As trust is established, the scope expands:

  • Partner with members of the leadership team on special projects.

  • Gain exposure to, and begin owning pieces of, revenue operations and customer-facing work.

  • Take on greater responsibility over time and shape the role around your strengths.

Who You Are
  • Roughly 2–3 years of professional experience. You have built strong organizational and communication instincts and are ready for a role with real trust and room to grow.

  • Trustworthy and discreet. You will have access to confidential information and to the details of the CEO's professional and personal life. You treat all of it with care.

  • Genuinely drawn to the right-hand seat. You take pride in doing the administrative work well, and you are equally motivated by the opportunity to grow into greater ownership.

  • Mindful that your work reflects the CEO and the company. You carry that standard into every interaction.

  • High emotional intelligence. You read people and situations well and handle sensitive moments with discretion and grace.

  • Polished with customers. You bring professional experience communicating with customers or clients and know how to represent both an executive and a company well.

  • Proactive and composed under ambiguity. You anticipate what needs doing before being asked and stay steady when priorities shift quickly.

Compensation and Logistics
  • Location: San Francisco. (NOTE: This role is remote to start and will transition to hybrid / in-person once we open our San Francisco office in the coming months. We are looking for a candidate based in San Francisco now, as that is where our Founder & CEO is home based.)

  • Compensation: $78,000–$88,000 base plus equity, depending on experience.
