DESCRIPTION:
Lead strategic partnerships and support enterprise-level growth for Thermo Fisher Scientific by managing key customer relationships and complex commercial initiatives. As Director of Key Accounts, you'll serve as the primary interface between strategic partners and Thermo Fisher, developing and implementing account strategies that leverage our full portfolio of innovative solutions. Guide Account Management Teams to deliver exceptional customer value while ensuring operational excellence, quality standards, and financial targets. Build and maintain executive-level relationships with customers while collaborating across divisions to increase market presence and profitability.
Education
- Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level account management, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific fields
- In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth through strategic account management and complex contract negotiations
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills to assess business opportunities and manage P&L
- Excellent relationship building abilities at executive/C-suite level with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience leading and developing teams in a matrix environment
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic account plans
- Proficient in project management, budgeting, forecasting and resource planning
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements
- Ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and site visits
- Additional language capabilities preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and CRM systems
- Experience creating collaborative team environments aligned with company values
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $170,000.00–$220,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
