The Production Planner role is responsible for creating, coordinating and managing activities related to production and raw materials. This role creates and maintains the short and long term production schedule based on demand planning, customer orders, internal capacity constraints and other factors affecting schedule compliance. Responsible for scheduling the product flow throughout the manufacturing process and ensure timely completion of orders by ensuring availability of resources. This position will have open communication with Excellerate leadership and project teams to distribute information about anticipated production and shipping dates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 2+ years of manufacturing experience

Travel: 0-5%

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create production schedules for each production cell and adjust schedules as priorities dictate.
  • Maintain up to date production cell work schedules.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and adjust production as needed.
  • Assist the Production Manager with weekly staffing/manpower projections.
  • Assist Production Manager with shifting manpower as dictated by production needs.
  • Communicate with job sites at time of order receipt and as production schedule changes could impact job sites.
  • Collaborate with other production facilities to distribute work based on critical capacity factors.
  • Monitor raw material delivery dates to ensure scheduled production can be completed.
  • Provides daily & long term production/capacity planning based on needs pertaining to customer orders, due dates, cell/facility availability and compatibility.
  • Daily coordination/partnership with production leadership, procurement and receiving staff to evaluate any changes needed in the production schedule.
  • Service: Timeliness of materials. Assure that finished goods can be produced as scheduled, without interruption or down time.
  • Receive, review, and assign all new customer orders.
  • In collaboration with the operations and supply chain teams, drives continuous improvement to increase production quality and yields.
  • Work closely with procurement/inventory management and sales/operations teams and processes to provide optimal supply levels and new product development processes.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
