JOB DESCRIPTION: An Excavator Operator safely operates heavy machinery to move earth, dig trenches, level ground while following safety protocols. A heavy equipment operator might be required to operate other heavy equipment machinery on site when project requires it to include, helping clear groundwork and material to assist other laborers when needed.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Operating an excavator to perform tasks such as digging, loading and moving materials
- Assists in clearing areas for construction, digging trenches and level ground
- Loading and unloading materials on the Excavator as needed
- Perform routine checks for proper maintenance and keep equipment interior clean
- Communicate well with other coworkers on the ground while operating heavy machinery
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on jobsite.
- Identify and address any safety or hazards that may arise during the operation
- Required to operator other Heavy Equipment machinery needed for the task, such as Roller, Loader or Skidsteer
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment machinery
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment, understanding of machine controls and knowledge of safety procedures
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and job site levels for extended periods.
Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
