Schedule: Thursday to Monday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to join our team at a senior living facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and sanitation, a strong work ethic, and a passion for working in a healthcare or senior living setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, offices, and restrooms.
Follow established cleaning protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
Handle waste management, including sorting and disposing of trash, recycling, and biohazardous materials according to facility guidelines.
Restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor.
Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and address spills or other safety hazards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned according to schedule.
Maintain a friendly and respectful attitude towards residents and staff, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience in environmental services, janitorial, or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques, including infection control.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be reliable and punctual with a commitment to the scheduled hours (Thursday to Monday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals and perform repetitive tasks.
