POSITION SUMMARY:

The EVS Supervisor shall assist the EVS Manager in the efficient and orderly management and administration of the EVS Department, while ensuring the Casino is kept clean at all times in a safe and efficient manner.

Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays and may be required to work additional hours when the need arises.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the EVS Department.
  • Prepares, directs and supervises EVS Custodians assignments for the cleaning of company facilities.
  • Inspects the casino gaming floor, public areas, back of house and company facilities.
  • Ensure employees are cleaning the casino while acting in a professional manner with customers and co-workers.
  • Ensures that company and department policies and procedures are being followed by EVS Custodians (cleaning service standards, appearance/grooming, personal conduct standards, guest service standards, safety, etc.).
  • Coordinates EVS Custodians to accomplish requested additional cleaning tasks.
  • Participates in the performance appraisal process, performs disciplinary actions, and is involved with terminations.
  • Informs EVS and/or Security Manager of any employee or customer theft, or any problems within the casino.
  • Consults with EVS Manager and Security Manager on any suspicious customer behavior.
  • Answers employee’s questions pertaining to operational procedures for EVS.
  • Understand and assist the EVS Manager in properly training EVS personnel on proper robbery and bomb threat.
  • Acts as Department Manager in any time of absence from the EVS Manager
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must be 21 years of age or older.  High school graduate or GED.  Two years specialized supervisor experience or two years custodial experience.  Excellent guest service skills.  Verbal and written communication experience.  Knowledge of heavy duty equipment, Buffers, Floor Extractors, and Floor strippers.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Moving (walking, standing, working) throughout casino (about 85% to 90% of the time)
Working indoors/outdoors, and continuously standing, bending, and kneeling (more than 75% of the time)
Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical)
Using chemical agents, wearing personal protective equipment, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying up to 50 pounds and 150 pounds assisted.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

Janitorial cleaning equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to work in a casino environment, in the midst of noise, smoke, crowded situations, etc.
